UK Vine Tomatoes

The Tomato Stall have been growing tomatoes on the Isle of Wight for over 15 years, in the rich, fertile soils of the Arreton Valley. Thanks to the island’s sea air and famously sunny microclimate, they produce some of the juiciest, most flavour-packed tomatoes you’ll ever taste — along with crisp cucumbers and vibrant green veg. From vine and cherry vine to mixed selections, every bite captures the depth and sweetness of a tomato grown properly.

Wild Garlic Bread

Baked by the brilliant Layers bakery, this wild garlic loaf is spring captured in crust and crumb. Made with freshly foraged wild garlic and the bakery’s signature slow-fermented dough, it’s deeply savoury with a soft, open texture and a golden, chewy crust. Try it toasted with butter, alongside seasonal soups, or simply torn and shared — it’s the kind of bread that doesn’t need much else.

Wild Garlic La Bouse

Made by the brilliant Jumi Cheese in the heart of Switzerland, this seasonal special is a true celebration of spring. Infused with fresh wild garlic — foraged at its peak — it marries the deep, nutty richness of Alpine cheese with vibrant, green freshness. Bold, aromatic, and only available for a short time, it’s a fleeting pleasure worth savouring.

Pairing: Let the cheese take centre stage with a neutral base — think Bayley & Sage crackers and a scattering of walnuts or almonds for texture. Pair with a light red Pinot Noir for earthy balance, or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc to lift those bright, garlicky notes.

Nutbourne Sussex Reserve

A beautifully balanced field blend of traditional Germanic grapes – Bacchus, Reichensteiner, and Huxelrebe – alongside Pinot Noir, which thrives in the vineyard’s greensand soil.

Origin: Sussex, UK

Pairing: Perfect to drink on its own but it also has enough zing to stand up to spicy foods, lighter game birds, or a wholesome fish pie.

UK Green Asparagus

British green asparagus is one of the true highlights of spring — vibrant, tender, and grown in soils that bring out its naturally sweet, grassy flavour. Picked at its best, it has a delicate snap and a vivid green hue that’s as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the plate. Whether simply steamed with butter, chargrilled with lemon, or layered into a tart, it’s a short-lived seasonal treat worth savouring while it lasts.

Gariguette Strawberries

Gariguette strawberries are the first sweet sign of the season — slender, scarlet, and intensely perfumed. Grown in the south of France and prized by chefs for their delicate texture and complex, almost floral flavour, they’re a world away from the supermarket kind. Juicy, fragrant, and fleeting, they’re best enjoyed just as they are — with cream, with friends, or simply straight from the punnet.

Daffodils

A joyful marker of early spring, daffodils bring brightness wherever they bloom. With their golden trumpets and fresh green stems, they’re a simple pleasure — cheerful, elegant, and full of optimism. Whether gathered in a kitchen jug or placed on a windowsill, they’re a reminder that lighter, longer days are on their way.

Tulips

Tulips are the quiet showstoppers of spring — clean-lined, graceful, and full of understated charm. Their colours range from soft pastels to vivid brights, each stem a little work of art. Whether you prefer them tightly furled or left to open and dance in the vase, tulips bring a touch of effortless beauty to any space.
