We believe that the way food is reared, processed, grown and selected cultivates the most exciting and delicious flavours and that working alongside fascinating producers who care so deeply about their products enriches the whole food experience.
We pride ourselves on securing UK produce where possible, as long as it’s of the highest quality. We try to be the first to stock English Asparagus, in our opinion the finest there is, as early in the season as possible. Depending on the climate we can have the finest spears in our stores as early as the last week of March, whilst all the other retailers are still importing theirs from overseas.
We love cheese! When it comes to cheese that means working with suppliers and producers of all shapes and sizes – from the smallest companies who produce a couple of cheeses to the most experienced affineurs in Europe with the finest Comtes.
With well over 100 cheeses in our stores, and some seasonal specialties that arrive throughout the year, it’s an eclectic mix, from the obscure to the classic, and it’s always best to pop in for a chat about what’s best now.
